Who are you? Who are involved in the project?
Read our about page!
Yeah there isn’t much there yet. We hope to improve that page in time
When is the new album coming?
Read our news page! Alternatively you can follow tags from the posts and tag cloud to find information on the album in question. If there is anything fresh to report on our next release, it will be there. If nothing ‘new’ is found, then the last ‘new’ album is filed under music as our latest release
Can we book you for our party?
Sure! Nick & Peter perform live sets in the Netherlands and simpler live sets across the border (simpler due to transport limitations of equipment by airplane, since we don’t really tour at the moment). Peter can also perform a DJ set if you like. Understand that, when required, we do need our transportation and lodging financially covered. Jeffrey is not included on stage, but if you still want to bring him over as well, then we are happy to come with the full crew. Otherwise just Nick and Peter will do ![]()
Please contact Peter for further booking information and details.
Can we book you for a web performance with live stream, webcam and/or live chat?
Yeah, we did this before and it was good fun! Contact Peter for details on what you have in mind.
What equipment do you use?
We use Renoise as our Digital Audio Workstation for music production, but also for the live set. Among with Hardware synthesizers and lots of VST software. We use 1 system for the production of our music and 1 system for doing all the mastering jobs. For the live sets we use 2 laptops, a midi controller, a midi keyboard and as extra option an electric guitar, which can also control all of our synthesizer sounds thanks to the Roland VG-99.
Do you have a mailing list I can subscribe to?
No, we don’t do mailing lists and we don’t collect e-mail addresses unless we are working with you on a project. Neither do we like being on mailing lists ourselves; we like clean mailboxes and we dislike spam! We sure believe you want your mailbox to be clean too ![]()
Alternatively you could subscribe to our RSS feed though. Most e-mail clients and browsers have some sort of RSS feed reading capabilities. If that still doesn’t work for you, you could also always follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay informed.
Can I remix your music?
If non commercially, read “Can I use your music for my blog, internet radio station, movie clip, flash game or any other kind of project?” below. Understand we might not have the time to assist you with specific samples. If this is about a commercial remix, contact Jeffrey for details and what you have in mind. We can supply you with samples in all kinds of formats. We can’t send you midi data or project files though.
Can you remix my music?
Maybe. Depends on your music and how you plan to supply us with samples. Contact Jeffrey for details and what you have in mind. Maybe we can work something out.
I love the Tricky Tricky remix you did. Will you join my remix competition?
We did that one for our own fun. Maybe if you are the next Röyksopp, Portishead, Trentemøller, or Goldfrapp? Or maybe the next great female singer-song writer? Or better yet, you are Röyksopp! Yeah maybe then we would. Simply contact us if you think we are interested.
Can I use your music for my blog, internet radio station, movie clip, flash game or any other kind of project?
We currently are not registered to any money collecting organization. As long as there is no commercial interest with your movie or game, feel free to embed our music to your project. Any form of radio air time is fine with us too. Take note that we do like to be properly credited or tagged, whenever we are included. Also we love to hear whenever we are used somewhere, since we like to tweet, blog and favorite that kind of stuff.
ps. take special care with any remixes we did. In such case you better check with the original artist too.
Can I sign your music for my commercial project or VA release?
Of course! Contact Jeffrey on what you have in mind. We can supply you with all kinds of formats or even custom tailor our tracks to your needs. Take note that requests for Planet Discovery and With Eyes Shut tracks are redirected to Cosmicleaf. Also some of our older stuff (pre 2008) is kind of problematic to work in depth with, due to studio and software changes.
Can you make exclusive music for my movie or (flash) game?
Maybe. Contact Nick for details and what you have in mind. Even if it is a non commercial project and you can’t pay us, we might still be interested.
Love the EE sound! Can you help us achieve similar sound for our own music / project?
Although it really depends on what you try to do, we do take care of the mixing and mastering of our own releases (with the exception of Planet Discovery, which was mastered by Cydelix for Cosmicleaf). We also worked on some masters for Cardamar releases before the label closed down. Contact Jeffrey with details on your project. Maybe the EE Music Studio can assist you.
What label are you currently signed to?
We no longer feel that we are part of a single label. In fact we started working under EE Music Studio and EE Recordings to do the release of the Darkened Emotion Remaster and EE3 ourselves. We might not work with labels too often in the future, although we always love to hear about any labels interested in our music and what they have to offer.
Does EE Recordings sign artists?
No!
Do you release for other artists?
No! And if we happen to do so in the future, it will be for personal contacts only.
What is your demo policy?
Read “Does EE Recordings sign artists?” and “Do you release for other artists?” above. If you still want to send us a demo, send it through our Soundcloud dropbox, maybe we listen to it, or maybe we won’t. Sorry! Please don’t e-mail us your music. We don’t like spam.
